#TongueOutTuesday (02), from slippery to winter wonderland
This new week started with a terrible accident in the village. The pizza place (the only one in our village) and all the apartments around it, burned down. A week later it’s still smoking. A black hole in the center of town.
I don’t know if the fire had anything to do with the storm of the night before. Heavy wind destroyed trees and caused a power outage of several hours. We’re used to darkness after sunset, but while we normally still see the lights of our neighbors or houses along the hills, it was all pitch black while twigs flew against the windows. Especially Oona wasn’t at ease but we got downstairs to a smaller bedroom that is easier to keep warm. After the blackouts of last year, we learned to always have enough candles and lights available so we just got a bunch of lights out and cuddled with the dogs.
Lizzie found her own snack on our hike. I’m not sure if it’s moose or deer but she was obsessed with it.
When the fresh snow finally arrived and we could jump into our snow boots instead of slipping around on spikes, I was beyond happy. Overnight the world turned into a fairytale world.
This sweater was clearly not a good choice for this type of sticky snow :-). I’m still trying to create that sweater for Lizzie but so far I haven’t found the right way to get everything to fit.
Yup, sticky snow. Perfect to create snowmen with,… and to collect in your fur 🙂
The light in Sweden vs Belgium:
Sunrise Belgium: 08h42 (3min difference)
Sunset Belgium: 16h56 (10min difference)
Sunrise Sweden: 08h51 (+ 8min)
Sunset Sweden: 15h17 (+ 16min!)
Have a great week and see you later!
