The past week has been exciting, with celebrations for Mo’s birthday, the first spring-like days, and lots of drawing.
For the dogs, one of the highlights was a pheasant walking around the studio picking sunflower seeds from underneath the bird feeders. His feathers shone brightly in the sun, but I guess that’s not what the dogs found so interesting.
This spring-like weather also seems to multiply the scents because every twig, dead leaf, or pine cone has to be sniffed. Instead of fast winter walks, it was warm enough to simply hang out at a spot until they were as tired as they could be from all the sniffing. It’s early March and we’ve been ‘sunbathing’!

Earlier this week, I finally wrote another Substack* post, you can find it here.

*Substack is an online platform where creators can publish and share newsletters. The great thing about writing on Substack is that these newsletters don’t disappear once they fly out. Instead, they stay on the platform for others to read. Subscribing to my Substack is free and great if you want an update on blog posts, projects, or inspiration.

In the newsletter, I suggested making the dog drawings more of a collaborative project. I decided to join #the100daysproject, so I committed to at least 100 more dog drawings! I love the drawing practice and sharing them, so perhaps we can nominate dogs, have a themed week, or something else? I don’t have a plan set in stone, but got nothing but enthusiastic reactions so we’ll see where we’ll end up!
Suggestions welcome!
