That serious portrait I had in mind didn’t work out- luckily Oona showed me some real Oona-ness, a unmistakably goofiness that makes me laugh out out 🙂

After a wonderful -but short- week in Belgium to visit friends and family, we’re back home, back in Sweden. And although this place where the deep blue lakes glitter in the sunlight and the red houses welcome us really feels like our home, at the same time it’s a bit weird to say so as our home country, our past and everything we know is 1600 kilometers south in another country.

After arriving and a short but oh-so-needed rest, we couldn’t wait any longer to go out for a swim in the lake. Well, to be honest: Mogwai swims, Oona waits on the side to steal the toy and Joeri, Ravasz and I watch the whole thing safe and dry from a distance 🙂
With our blurry minds from traveling, we forgot the life vest for Oona but this time she was clearly feeling like superwoman, or at least rave enough to undertake an attempt to swim towards the toy. It’s with an enormous pleasure that we see her develop every time we go out. Every day she seems to get a little more confident and a little more light-hearted.

Happy to be back 🙂

The next few days will be busy as we have to finish things in and around the house before our summer guests arrive. We’re hoping that Youtube will talk us through the installation of a new toilet (fingers crossed!) and I hope to paint some old outdoor chairs so we have a spot outside to gather and perhaps even have a bonfire — and some cold Belgian beers…. mmmm
I’m already daydreaming but we still have a lot to do! I also hope to finish my ‘dirty’ workspace (the painting and etching room) so that all the paint and ink can be safely away from the children that will be visiting.

In between these thing I also hope to share some images from our time in Belgium, a super nice package that arrived today for the doggies (those who follow me on instagram already know what it is 🙂 ) and something silly perhaps but the new seat-cover I made for our van.
