When we lived in Belgium we had our mailbox just in front of our house and from our living room we could hear or see the mailman passing by. By the time he needed to drop off everything we could even guess whether it’s just a few bills or that there might be something more interesting too. In Sweden these things are arranged differently. We don’t have a mailbox at our door and not even on our property. Instead we have a mailbox at a crossing with another street at a place that is shared with some of our neighbors. It’s not that far, about 200 meters perhaps, but it’s a nice little daily walk and although it’s mostly just bills like probably everywhere in the world, once in a while this little walk is full of surprises 🙂

The bright pink letters Firefly Canine outfitters on the envelop made my heart jump with joy and since I wanted to record a little video I really had to hold myself in to not rip open the envelop right away 🙂
While the warm summer sun was slowly setting, Mogwai and I hurried back to the garden to open this surprise together. Inside were 3 beautiful bandana’s with names to start daydreaming on the spot: Wanderlust (a map of the world for Oona), Stargazing (stars for Mogwai) and Fly High (feathers for Ravasz).
I planned on making photographs of all 3 of them but after a few shots, Mogwai curled up against me and while I was cuddling her she fell asleep on my lap. I just could not wake her up. Instead I enjoyed this lovely summer moment together with her. Trying not to move as I made some photographs 🙂
