Exploring the lakes
The dogs ( and we too of course) LOVE adventures big and small. Now the roads are clear in summer, they are ready to be explored. We love to try as many paths as possible, looking for lakes and places to swim. Some days we just wander around while other days I look for some destinations on a map. And then we spent the day looking for new places.
Not every destination is a hit. Once I thought I would find a lake but instead ended up at a big and dry stone quarry. Other times we can’t reach the water or a road suddenly stops in somebody’s garden. But often we find little paradises, camping spots and fire places with benches and wood in the middle of nowhere.
But whatever we find, or don’t find, it’s all about the road and following our curiosity to new spots.
No water but beautiful clouds!
Now and then there are some obstacles on our path.
I thought I could easily get this twig of the road. Was I wrong! Once I got out of the car I noticed it was a whole tree that fell over and with the roots sticking out like meager legs up in the air. I tried pulling and pushing this tree but all I got was very sticky hands. The only thing that helped was putting sand on my hands 🙂 and then just driving over this tree. And then I was lucky: nobody at my destination! *happy dance*
We did find an old boat. A perfect spot for Ravasz to keep an eye on the playful youngsters that ran in and out the water.
The third location of the days was a big hit. Hidden in the forest at the end of a long road we suddenly found an open place that was waiting for some curious summer explorers. There was even a fireplace made of stones and a pile of dry wood.
By the time our stomach starts to rumble, we know it’s time to find our way back home. Tired but happy. But never too tired to stop at various places to take some pictures or just enjoying the beauty of the lakes and clouds.
After wandering around for a day, jumping in lakes and sniffing all the new trees, the puppers are quiet for 2 days- except from feeding time. Food is important, you know. For the rest they just want to sleep, dream about all the new smells and of course recharge for the next adventure 🙂
