Midsummer greeting from DOGvision dog photography and blog, www.DOGvision.eu

Happy Midsommar/Midsummer!
Will you be celebrating the summer equinox today? Eating strawberries and making flower crowns?

My favorite things to do on Midsummer’s Eve are: taking photos of the dogs + lupines, going out with kayaks and paddleboards to explore the lakes, and then having some tasty food, perhaps a Belgian beer, and sitting by the fire until we almost fall asleep.
I like spending time with my dogs more than the busy traditional celebrations with frog dances around a maypole and having to hold sweaty hands, so we created our own perfect mix of dogs, Swedish customs, and Belgian habits :-).

This year, we don’t have special plans. As the sun is coming out, we might go for something last-minute, but since Mogwai had surgery earlier this week, we’re taking things slowly, giving her all the time and space to recover. If it’s up to Mo, she would already be swimming, rolling in the dirt, and chasing Oona. Yeah, keeping a Border Collie calm isn’t the easiest task but all I can hope for now are good test results (one more week before we know more), and a chance to enjoy the rest of the summer together when she’s healed.

Fingers crossed for my sweet little girl!

Wishing you all a magical summer equinox filled with sunshine, flowers, happy dogs, and fun parties.
