As I write this, I’m surrounded by snoring dogs. Oona even requested an early dinner so she could go to bed. In this household, this means that the weekend was a success and the dogs are happy, tired, and satisfied.
And so are we, because the best thing in the world is seeing happy dogs!

On Saturday, we hiked around a frozen lake. It was freezing but the sun was bright enough to share warmth with us. Such an energizing feeling!

On Sunday, we went back to the lake, but this time to go skiing, and ooooh the dogs loved it! There were no official tracks, but while that can be a bit more difficult, it also means that all 3 dogs could join and they could run, play, and sniff.

I made this purple/pink fleece sweater for Lizzie last week. It was the second attempt, but this one fits! I just loved the colors on her, and I would like to make some for Mogwai and Oona too. One reason for making this fleece is because she needs a warm layer in winter, but when we ski, I prefer her wearing a pulling harness (this one is from Non-Stop Dogwear), and because of its shape, it’s difficult to fit it either over or under a jacket. So this sweater is rather fitting, which means she can wear her harness, but I can also use it to layer other sweaters or jackets.

We got Oona a bungee leash too, this way she has more space to avoid skis or kicksled. Skijoring on a frozen lake, Sweden, www.DOGvision.eu

And now, it’s time for sauna, dinner, and rest 🙂
