Snow photos? I don’t know if that will be a thing for this year, but luckily there is no shortage of crazy faces.
While I am typing this, the birds flutter around in the garden and fly one by one up to the bird feeders. I even spot a blackbird! They can be seen everywhere in Belgium, but rather exceptional here. A woodpecker also occasionally lands at the houses, but I haven’t seen the squirrels this winter while last year they showed off their acrobatic superskillz – it is really a very strange winter.
Normally we will spot the first signs of an approaching spring by the end of March- by the time we think it will be winter forever and we’ve been shoveling snow for months. My snow boots and ski pants are unemployed. We haven’t shoveled once! I even check my dogs for ticks now. In the middle of winter! (found one on Lizzie in January!)
I sit by the window and around me the doggies are snoring pleasantly after a nice long walk. I sip some tea and decide that I will share the rest of the photos of this walk another time. A few sketches are still waiting to get finished and tonight we’ll be meeting up with friends for dinner – so I better get this thing done! 🙂
See you later! X
