#TongueOutTuesday 51
How is it only one week until Christmas?
Yesterday it was +6*C; later this week, it will even be +7*C! All the beautiful frost is gone and the snow is melting away. This might be our first Christmas up north without snow…
A drama? No, certainly not. But it is a fact that these ultra-short days feel so much brighter with snow. Even the faintest light reflects on the white surface, filling my studio with diffuse light. Or even at night, you see so much more detail.
The great thing about warmer days is that hiking is much easier. Paths are clear, you can easily park your car, and everything is accessible. Plowing through the snow is hard work, and the more snow we get, the less road we can take for walks (not every forest road gets cleared).
In the meantime, we light candles, drink hot chocolate, and hang lights everywhere 🙂
If you visit our village now, you’d think you arrived in Narnia or some magical place. Almost every window of every house has lights- some advent lights, some starts. It’s beautiful!
Full moon at the studio:
There is no such thing as too many lights 😀
